One of the hardest thing about the move, outside of my Boston friends, is Gather Here. I haven't really found a new LYS (or LFS, etc.). I haven't been to a knitting night since July. I didn't expect to go to a knit night right away after Q was born, but I didn't go before he was born either.
The last window I got to see at Gather Here was the ice cream window done by Virginia's crew and Jen of Zooguu. I love Jen's whimsical stuffies. She did a winter window for GH with these awesome yetis, and I felt a little regret that I didn't buy one of them. I bought her narwhal pattern, and made it for my niece for Christmas. So, knowing I was moving and expecting, I bought one of Zooguu's monsters from the summer window.
The monster arrived today, and Q got to try a bit of ice cream!
I love this bit of Boston brought home to our place in Lexington. Q likes him, though maybe not the camera.
Either that, or Q is just checking out the tail.
The monster is going to live in the nursery, and will be Q's (unless Q doesn't like it, in which case it is all mine!). Adorableness for our adorable little boy!
