My MIL requested soap for Christmas, which we complied with (though not with the Hippy Dippy soaps, because they weren't going to have them ready to ship in time, boo!). I looked at the box, which had a goodly bounty of soap, and thought it looked sad, lonely, bereft.
Enter the washcloth!
I surfed Ravelry for an hour (or two) looking at all of the wash cloth patterns. I wanted something elegant, easy to knit, and not square. I got two out of three. A better blocking job (I was blocking it the morning we mailed the package) might have even pushed it to three.
The package arrived in time for Christmas.
Pattern: Keyhole Sand Dollar
Yarn: Loops Cotton Club
I used a size 4 or a size 5 needle (I know, helpful. You would think I could remember just last week, but you would be wrong.).
The fuzzy picture was a DS picture, because we couldn't find the camera brain or the camera brain holder. I'm pretty good that way!
The year is almost over, so it is nice to finish something. Even something as quick and simple as a nautical-themed wash cloth. Of course, there are two whole days left to the year, so maybe I will manage to finish something else too!
