Today our furballs went to see the vet. Saru-chan hates being in the car, and Victor is excited by the mere presence of a cat so the trip was a bit exciting. I got one of the car seatbelt harnesses, but the pictograph instructions did not match the strap-filled concoction I actually pulled out of the box. I'm not sure if it was on him properly, but he didn't seem to mind it and it mostly worked in the car. A win.
Later today I had a physical. I hate the yearly physical, not because it is hard or painful but because I prefer to spend my time doing healthy things than talking about the healthy things I could or should be doing. It's a trait I come by naturally. I don't want to think about how sick my mom would need to be before she considered it appropriate to go to the doctor. I think that is the real legacy of growing up sans health insurance. It makes you more inclined to avoid going to seek medical attention until it is too darn late.
Something about being out for hours just made me really want to take a nap. Instead I'm going to bed early. Hopefully tomorrow's run will also be sans rain (though it looks like Sunday's run is going to be wet).
