Iolanthe is over. I have to submit receipts for reimbursement (because I took them out of my bag before the last show, so smart of me), but now it is recovery time. A recovery compounded by the fact that I went to the cast party and then caught the first train going to Boston at 6 a.m. I got home, showered, ate, did some more walking and then watched Star Trek. I think it is a testament to the quality of the movie that i was able to stay awake the entire time.
The cast party was a lot of fun. I've normally not made it to any of the parties at the end of strike, preferring to go home and get to bed after a very long day and the labor of strike. I was still wearing my makeup from the show (which has gotten comments about having Ace Frehley eyes (which is OK, because I like Kiss, though my eyes aren't quite so strikingly colored except for the megaton of glitter I was using).
I went to bed super early, and now I'm ready to face the world. No more rehearsals or shows for a bit. It is just crafting, packing, cooking and work. The normal everyday parts of my life. I didn't do any crafting yesterday, because I was hard pressed to not nod off when I was reading. Whoops! Now it is time for the gym and getting back to the running. The half marathon is in 2 weeks and we move in 3.
