or closet rather.
Yesterday was an exercise in how much I can carry for how long without becoming supremely grumpy. You'd think that I would learn, but that, unfortunately, is a mistake made by many. Instead, I headed to the gym to get my long run in (I'm now doing at least some of my long runs in on the race route to get used to the course and where its hills are) with 2 knitting projects, a book, a change of clothes, a little bit of food and a partridge in a pear tree.
One of the knitting projects is a pair of socks, but why did I pull a sweater out of the vault? It's this basic bottom-up yoke style sweater that I started before I had ever actually made a yoke style sweater, and I'm still trying to decide 1) how long to make it, and 2) how to incorporate the sleeves given my very limited yarn supply. I'm seriously considering doing the cast on for the remaining yoke stitches with one of the many provisional cast ons, and then knitting the sleeves down just to make sure that I have enough for the yoke part.
Of course, I pulled it out of the vault, because I couldn't find my printout from the Cobblestone pullover, which I can finally start. Theoretically, I can print it out today and double check the gauge on my washed swatch before pulling out a skein of yarn to start this project off. In truth, it will probably be put off for one more day as I will hopefully get the last 2 cones of yarn I need and I will start trying to make my loom ultraportable. Only another day in a week full of rehearsals will tell (M,T,W and Sat).
