I don't feel old enough to be typing anything about my age and the process of getting older. I'm only in the lower 30s, exercise on a regular basis (cardio, strength and lots of yoga), sing and dance and all sorts of other fun things. None of it makes me feel old or make me think about aging.
That said I have 1 (maybe 2) signs I'm getting older.
1) Going to bed around 11 p.m. does not mean I can wake up at 4 a.m. the next day. Though I'm enough of a morning person that I'm still able to get up at 6 a.m. Go figure.
2) I think more about responsibility and some of the small markers of that (cleanliness) than I did growing up. Mostly this means that after putting our condo on the market months ago that I feel a little odd if I don't make the bed before we leave for the day. Such a small thing to make me feel put together.
I have rehearsal tonight, where I get to bring my digital kitchen scale to continue winding off more balls of yarn for the peer scarves. I have 2 done and 1 almost done, and plenty of time to weave another 3 scarves after that. This project is making me appreciate the breadth of options that weaving gives me, which is a wonderfully exciting place to be. I'm always excited by knitting in general even if I'm not enthused about a specific project, so it is nice getting the new craft joy so strongly again.
