I don't know what it is about the weekends, but they are always super full. This weekend was a costume build for Iolanthe (I mostly cut fabric, but there was a lot of fabric to cut out), the Ras na hEireann (I'm waiting for official results, but I might have been sub 30), a dance rehearsal and a lot of walking. I walked for almost 13 miles between Saturday and Sunday, and while that isn't that much compared to when I was training for the Breast Cancer 3-Day oh those many years ago it is still significant. Weekends like this make it a bit harder to get any knitting done, though I did get some more done on Henry on Saturday. I'm hoping that between this weekend, where I have a bit less planned and the next I'll be able to call that project done.
I'm pretty pleased with my running progress lately. I'm not making all of my runs, but between the walking and the running I'm easily hitting 20+ miles a week. This upcoming Sunday is my first 8 mile long run, which should take about 1.5 hours. Even though I'm still having problems with the Nike+, it is good to get an idea of my actual time on the road rather than hoping I remembered when I left the house. Friday is almost my first run trying to push the entire thing at my target half marathon pace. I will be happy with a sub 2:30, but my goal is a sub 2 hour half. I'm slowly but steadily making my way towards that goal. Maybe after the half in May I'll start training for a full marathon while I still have a decent amount of mileage under my belt.
No pictures yet, because I am inherently lazy, but I have a wee bit of a loom sitting on top of a shelf in the closet. It's waiting for me to have most of a day or at least a couple of evenings to make my first stab at warping a loom. I will be making scarves for the Peers, because I'm not bright enough to say no, but I am bright enough to think that it will take longer to knit 9 scarves than it will to weave them. That will be an adventure!
