It was almost a long weekend, but it didn't feel like it at all. In the last few weeks, there has just been a mountain of stuff to do. All of a sudden, weekends were fun, but so busy that they certainly weren't relaxing.
Saturday mostly followed that mold. Rehearsal was all about drilling the choreography for Cat Like Tread, which was fun and certainly substituted for my exercise for the day. Lunges and jumps and acting and singing all rolled up into one. My only irritation with the day was that a lot of people did not show up to rehearsal (though I'm sure they let the director know, it still feels weird to be rehearsing without a large number of the cast).
Sunday was a respite. I made good cupcakes and indifferent mashed potatoes (I don't know why I keep trying to cook them in the slow cooker, because they just aren't as good that way) and generally didn't do that much.
Except I did work on my February Lady Sweater. I have to admit that the raglan increases were putting me to sleep (and the fact that the Steelers were not beating the Colts was also a bit irritating), so I did the ambivaknit. My needle is just a hair too small for all of the increasing I need to do, so I am going to be thrilled when I have finally slid my sleeve stitches onto a bit of waste yarn. My FLS is not quite following the pattern as written. I had to decrease down right before the eyelet row, and I'm trying to decide if that looks weird before I do the eyelets. I have decided that I don't like frogging buttonholes, but that is just me being a bit whiny as overall I'm really loving the project with my rustic wool (read: rough) and all.
