One of my friends a few years ago said she was giving up Shame for Lent, but sometimes Shame and Guilt (its cousin) are pretty handy tools.
Currently, I have 12 WIPs that I am admitting to in Ravelry. Some of them are pretty close to finishing. My Everything But the Kitchen Sink needs sleeves, but the knitting itself is pretty easy even if the project is mostly a home project (huge bag of yarn for this one). Some of them are new, because I obviously needed to start a new top this past weekend. And some of them need some Shame, and so I added them to Ravelry.
I started the Sassy Ruffled Skirt either early this year or last year. Suffice to say, it has been a while. I changed the gauge, mathified the entire thing, and knit it. It has been knit for more than 6 months easily. All that is left is to sew in the elastic waist band and do a bit of blocking (and maybe weave in a single end). This could have been done any weekend afternoon, or maybe a quiet morning before work. I could have been wearing this skirt to work. The fabric is soft. The color is magnificent. And it isn't done.
So, for shame! I added it to Ravelry and will hopefully finish it this weekend (or maybe on a quiet evening after work this week). Then I can mark it completed and add another Shame! project for the following. Because there is no excuse for it. Knits are meant to be worn, not placed in a drawer out of sight.
