(not to be confused with runaway monkeys)
I have socks, which in my excitement I have not even tried on (über-goober, right?). The socks look lovely and have already survived Saru-chan's attempts to get to the ribbon (danger averted, because she mostly doesn't damage finished garments just the pesky loose threads and yarn). The card was lovely! If I didn't love to knit, I could quite happily just go to a full-on paper and other stationery supplies addiction.
It's hard to tell in my picture (lovingly taken by my hubby) is that the socks in person are much lighter in color than that. They are a good blend between the colors I know, love and wear all the time and my attempts to branch out into something a little different. My attempts at doing the same (aka, not knitting out of blues and blacks almost exclusively) seems to have resulted in my third primary color (clunky phrase) being red, so this is extra specially good.
I will try them on tonight, because I am a goober - but they are here, I'm going to go update the database, and I love them! Thank you, Ms. DoggedKnits! I've just been by your site and you have a gorgeous pup! I want a doggie, but must wait for larger abode.
In something mostly (fine - completely) unrelated, I had sundae bar at work and put a circle of maraschino cherries around my small scoop of ice cream. Yum! 14 cherries, stems and all!
