My husband and I are having people over this afternoon, provided that a ton of people don't bag because of the weather (a bit grey and rainy, but not too horrible - does occasionally shift to tiny bits of hail). I've got a little bit of homework to do and my hubby has been doing laundry. I have cleaned the bathroom and washed the floor in the kitchen. We vacuumed the rugs (him yesterday) and the couches (us today). I'll make chocolate orange fudge later this afternoon. For now, I'm just taking a small breather.
There are these points when you are working on things (class, knitting, work projects, etc.) where it becomes obvious that while you have not necessarily bitten off more than you can chew, you have certainly given yourself a huge mouthful to work on.
About the only things I feel like I'm making progress on is knitting and homework. It's pretty good actually. My next homework assignment looks pretty huge. It's kind of frightening, because it feels like they have gotten very complex in a relatively short amount of time. In a year or so, I won't think it was that bad.
For my knitting, I made it (and I have part of today to knit as well) to the divide for the fronts. I just need to dig out my removable stitch markers and then I can continue. It would be great to get one front done this upcoming week, but it's not terribly likely to happen unless either the creeping ick or something else keeps me home. On sock 2 of my Trekking socks, I am on the gusset and will probably either get through the gusset today or all the way through the sock. It depends on how much prep work I do on my next homework assignment and whether I alternate between projects. Maybe I'll pick up one of my old projects to work on. I have a couple that are awfully close to completion.
