Sort of.
I am working on (have been, am still, quasi) Teva Durham's Yoke Vest. I didn't want it to be too warm. I wasn't sure I could fit it. I wanted to wear it for the holidays. I didn't want to swatch.
Ooops.
I finished blocking (though I didn't weave in the ends) the Yoke Vest last night. I tried it on (before blocking) and it was a crop top. Well, I didn't swatch, so I knew it was a bit dicey. I hoped that severely wet blocking the little sucker would make it big enough, long enough, and dog gone it... Well, I got part of what I hoped for.
The Yoke Vest is wearable, barely. It is a mite bit short (I tend to have a very tight row gauge). It's not wearable. It won't be wearable until probably about June. Enter the Yoke Vest project:
Rather than find someone to fit the silly Yoke Vest or modifying the pattern and making another one I am going to finish losing the last 10-15 odd pounds and wear it. It fits the waist and is almost long enough, 10 pounds should do it. Ten pounds lost will shrink my boobs enough to have it be both comfortable and long enough (amazing how much length is lost going around boobs instead of through).
Yeah, oops.
