I am back to work (and have been since Monday) after my lovely wedding and resulting week of sleep. I didn't really do a lot of knitting in my time off. I did some work on my second sock, and started a little something new. Most of my time was spent sleeping and eating with minor amounts of cooking and cleaning. There was also a lot of video games, because we were home and it is one of the companionable things we do together.
My little something new is a sweater for my husband. (Gosh that still sounds weird.) I wanted to make him the Delta Blue sweater (Knitter's Magazine). It's a fairly basic Interrupted Rib pattern with a V neck front. I say basic, but I haven't made a sweater before. He gave me Denise's so I started the sweater over the week.
Hrm. I started the sweater, but made it differently. Instead of the recommended yarn, I am using Matchmaker. I don't appear to have bought enough, so the bottom of the sweater is going to be one shade of blue with a variegated stripe in the middle and a lighter blue probably on top. I have the variegated, because I planned on doing that anyway. Instead of knitting flat like a sensible person, I decided that I wanted to knit my Interrupted Rib in the round. So, I cast on the amount of stitches for the front and back minus 4 (for the seams), and figured out how to change the pattern from flat to round. I am on about my 3rd repeat of the pattern, and have maybe 2 inches of stitching done. Not enough to photograph understandably.
Tonight I will be out with my knitting (socks), so I will hopefully go back to the sweater this weekend. But knitting continues apace!
