I had a great idea for a wacky Baitcon flavor, but I really delayed in testing it. The current round with the lemongrass base is interesting, but not exactly what I had in mind. I will have to come up with a different idea, but it won't be before Friday. It is liberating to make that decision, because I needed to be realistic with what I can do and now I won't be attempting to be insane.
In other news, last weekend we picked up week 2 of our CSA. We are splitting a single share with some friends. Our share is listed on a white board on our fridge. Each day I use something from the list and then cross it off. It is working well for us and helping me make sure to use some of the oldest stuff first. I love it!
Tonight I'll be making veggie burgers (something I've been saying all week long) to use a vast quantity of parsley. It is something than I need to remember can be added to lots of things, so I don't have a lot of it left at the end. Of course, given that it is me the answer might be more ice cream. I know I have a basil ice cream recipe from the Perfect Scoop. Nothing wrong with trying the same with the huge amount of parsley coming my way.
So, I wonder, how does everyone else handle using all of the bounty from a CSA?
