The last few days have been kind of uncomfortable. I gorged on chocolate on Monday, much to my stomach's detriment (and yes, you needed to know that). I felt like I had pounded my abdomen with a mallet. Not life threatening, but really uncomfortable. Tuesday, I took a gym class that did to my glutes, core and thighs what the chocolate did on Monday.
I woke up Tuesday night at 1 a.m. and felt wide awake. I stayed up for a couple of hours, playing Bejeweled and crocheting on one of my potholders for the swap. I went back to bed, but I was too darn sleepy and sore to do my training run this morning.
Tonight's dinner was Pumpkin Spice pancakes, and I used the remaining pumpkin to make Joy's Pumpkin Pie Bars. I love pumpkin foods, though not quite as much as my husband, the pumpkin aficionado. The small effort with tonight's dinner helped finish the recovery from days of rain, overeating and the ass kicking exercise. If only every indulgence or error of judgment was as easy to fix.
(and I really hate the Filet of Fish ad. Mythbusters needs a better quality of ad, just saying)
I picked up (in the rain, don't ask how I loved it) my copy of Pokemon Soul Silver on Sunday. The latest game comes with a pedometer (a Pokewalker). Since Sunday afternoon when I finally started the game, I have walked more than 53,000 steps. I'm not the biggest Pokemon geek, but I do love my pedometer. My Weedle is getting pretty big and I should pull him out and put a more interesting Pokemon in there.
