Yesterday was truly the busiest day I've had in a long time, even comparing it to other busy days. It was a great day, though I'm a bit sore.
It started fairly normally, with an early wakeup and attempting to do a bit more unpacking. I eventually got outmy inline skates and headed to Watertown for my lesson. The lesson was great. There were 7 of us either learning or relearning how to properly skate. After the 3 and mostly curehour lesson I was pretty well done in with my ankles being the sorest part of my legs. I did learn to skate and mostly cure myself of the tendency to fall backwards.
If you are in the Boston area, I can definitely recommend Four Wheels in a Line. Jen, the instructor, was organized and really was great at making the different skating skills accessible to us.
I was going to see friends afterwards, but there was (and still is) a tpon of stuff to do at home. We moved the heavy end sections of a damaged entertainment center to the basement an made a sad discovery about our box spring. Oh well. I also assembled my grow beds (a 3x3 and an 18'x3) and planted the seedlings from the farmers market, the potato I had growing on the window, a spot of corn, and some pumpkin. I'm pretty certain that I've put most of the plants too close together, but I am just learning what to do after a long hiatus of killing plants on porches and balconies.
So, the weekend was mostly good, though I felt sick, watching game 5 of the Stanley cup. The Penguins were just crushed, and started pulling stupid penalties when they could ill afford to be a man shorton the ice On the flip side, the New England Revolution won 4-0, and both Taylor Twellman and Matt Reis were back.
