I have a couple of books to give away to good homes.
First up:
Julia and Julie: I won this from Bridget in March, and I really liked it. It is definitely a bit less about the cooking than I expected and more about life, finding yourself, and loving what you do. It's a great beach read even, interesting without being either completely smutty or too taxing on the sun-baked brain. Any takers?
Knit Socks: This is a great beginner book for making socks, but I hadn't even looked at one of the patterns in months. I got the book right before attempting socks the first time, and it is handy because it walks you through the different steps with both its basic pattern and each subsequent pattern. While there is a pattern or two that involve fun fur (as trim, as trim, not an entire fun fur sock!), there are also a patterns with lace and intarsia. Any takers?
