The last week hasn't been all unpacking. There has been some Stanley Cup action and some Food Network.
I have a very low limit for how much television I can watch, about an hour when I'm obsessively staring at the TV and about a movie's worth when I'm doing something else at the same time. I can watch quite a bit more TV/DVD/etc. if I have knitting or some other activity to keep my brain occupied, so I am mostly listening to what's going on rather than watching the screen. Not sure if that makes much sense, but it is the way I am.
Last night after finishing the second coat of painting, I went downstairs to eat a dinner-like object and watch the end of Good Eats. Afterwards there was a show called Unwrapped, and it was about drinks. Specifically, the eye catch or what not for the show had a couple of really decadent chocolate drinks. One was a gelatini, which was a blend of gelato, vodka and liqueurs and maybe some other flavorings (no ice) which could be acquired at this restaurant in Denver, Colorado. The other were a couple of really rich and thick hot and frozen chocolate drinks at Naked Chocolate Cafe in Philadelphia.
This was a horribly dangerous show, because I think I'm going to spend at least part of the summer trying to make gelatini at home. Getting to Colorado right now is just not on the list of things I can afford to do, but making ice cream and then mixing it up with booze? That is definitely on my list of summer fun!
