Maybe spring is really here at last? My little weather widget (I love the mac widgets) shows 50s for the next 6 days. This is excellent as I have friends moving, a ton of running to do, and need to both warp my loom for the first time and get some weaving done.
Yup, weaving. I can't believe I have had this loom and pretty much put together for more than a week. I have an excuse. I always do. I want to finish Henry before I start something new and potentially very time consuming. Sounds pretty good, huh? Well, I have 2.5 rows before the edging. Theoretically, I'll get at least to the edging tonight and will be able to at least set up the back of the loom for measuring out my warp. One test piece and 9 striped scarves later, and hopefully I'll be comfortable with the warping process -- the part that most frightens the bejeesus out of me.
Thankfully, this week is pretty much rehearsal free, and while I should go to the set build on Sunday, it is mostly running, other exercise, knitting, weaving and, oh, helping people move (though they still haven't given out particulars in my way of thinking). But first things first, 2.5 rows. Makes me want to make Henry into the bottles of beer song. 99 rows of Henry to do. 99 rows of Henry. Knit one up and tink it a lot and then you have 99 rows of Henry to do.
