Tonight is the last dress rehearsal. Full makeup, costumes, and the orchestra. The set will have all of the painting done and dry, and we will be singing out, trying to project in a cavernous room while not burning out our voices. It will be a great night (call is in about 15 minutes)! And the actual performances over the weekend will be even better.
Of course, as a pirate, I have a fair amount of downtime. We sing the first couple of numbers and then have a bit of time until we get ourselves some wimmin and Act I finale fun. And after the Act I finale, we have a bit more downtime as we are not on until about the middle of the act. I have been knitting in between my times on stage, but Henry is not the easiest pattern to start and stop on a dime. I'll probably work on it anyway, because I'm only on row 4 of the patterned section and could use all of the time on the pattern that I can get (it feels slower than it probably is, because I'm only getting very disjointed time on it right now).
I'm so glad that one of my friends is also in this show (waves wildly), because she has been driving me home, the only reason why I have been able to get to bed by midnight. Umm, 21 knitting days left till Christmas?
