There is nothing like working on a pair of socks to make the average sweater feel like it is just zooming along. I keep taking little breaks in my February Lady Sweater to measure the length, figuring that I should stop the lace pattern at about 18 or so inches. I'm at 10 inches along and I really don't feel like I've spent so much time on this project. It's a nice feeling even if it does mean that I'm neglecting the second pair of socks for my MIL.
I am hoping that with a bit of empty time this weekend that I will be able to finish the sweater in the next week or two, depending on how long it takes me to get to the sleeves.
One of the next sweaters I'll be making is the Cobblestone Pullover for my hubby. Sadly, I have packed all of my Interweave Knit magazines from last year, so I will need to buy it from the pattern site (or see if someone will let me borrow their magazine). I'm not going to buy the yarn until after I have finished the February Lady Sweater, because I don't want a lot of yarn sitting around the condo saying, "Knit me! Knit me now!" I'll probably be knitting this with the Peace Fleece (he's picked out his color... I just want to double check on the scratchiness of the yarn before committing to it).
