(and it feels hard this week) the tough go shopping.
The broke and tough go window shopping! My current window shopping love is this yarn from The Loopy Ewe. It is such a wonderful, vibrant green with terrific yardage. So, when I say someone buy this for me, I mean someone(s) go and buy this and save me from myself (payday is not this week or I might have succumbed already)!
It might be a hard week, but there were some good spots. I've been playing with my chocobo a lot. I lost a dpn yesterday and found it today (I left it at work), and I have started a monster swatch for my second attempt at the Picovoli top. Currently my swatch thinks that my gauge is 23 stitches for 4 inches, but I figure I will continue knitting the swatch until I have enough rows done for a real attempt at row gauge. Though knowing that I need 60 rows done is kind of demoralizing (monster swatch is mean).
My first attempt at the Picovoli top was derailed when my kitty liberated the project from my backpack. There were snags and tangled skeins and the entire thing needed to be ripped. But I have 4 skeins of Jaeger Trinity and don't really want to look at them anymore. Out of the stash with you, into the garment drawer you go!
I am a lady of inexpensive taste with expensive habits. Mostly that means I live off of beans and rice and potatoes and am saving my pennies and yarn credit (from Stashalong) to buy some pretty pretty yarn from Sundara.
